Eric Koretz, is a cinematographer based in Los Angeles. He has an undergraduate
degree in communications design from Syracuse University and a Masters from the
American Film Institute in Cinematography. His projects have included documentaries,
commercials and television, filmed around the world. Known as both technically
innovative, and artistically creative, Eric seeks to discover the soul of his subjects
through the lens and develops a magical realism with his imagery.
At the SXSW in 2011, Eric won “Best Cinematography” in documentaries for his
film Dragonslayer. The film also won the honor of “Best Documentary” at SXSW
2011 and “Best international Documentary” at Hot Docs Toronto, 2011.
His commercial credits include work for Audi, Sprint, The UFC, Under Armour and Vans
amongst many others. His narrative work includes The Trivial Pursuits of Arthur
Banks, AMC’s first comedy. Eric is known by the moniker, The Image Hunter on
his blog, which has received a whole lot of hits and has been picked up by sites
like Jalopnick, Deadspin and Gizmodo.
